The Department of Energy, together with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Philippines, Green Army Netwrok Foundation and the SWITCH Movement has initiated a campaign for Earth Hour Philippines 2010.
Initiated two years ago, Earth Hour has sent a powerful message worldwide to take urgent action against climate change.
This year’s Earth Hour aims to empower individuals to commit to the challenge of solving the climate change crisis and demand commitment from world leaders to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as 2010 is considered to be the ultimate year for humanity to address such concerns.
In support to the above campaign, all ages are hereby enjoined to obeserve Earth Hour on March 27, 2010 at 8:30 in the evening and join the word in this symbolic evenet by:
- Switching off lights during Earth Hour in their respective homes;
- Encouraging our families, friends, networks, and communities to participate in Earth Hour and in mitigating the effects of global warming;
- Disseminating information on Earth Hour through various communication channels such as official website, internal newsletters, and by posting Earth Hour posters and streamers in the office premises;
- Attending the Earth countdown event at the Globe Rotunda of the SM Mall of Asia Complex on March 27, 2010 from 07:00 to 10:00 in the evening.
We can further contribute, as we are challenged to do our own little contribution, by adopting other ways to protect our environment and conserve energy resources.

How can you love someone so much,
that the thought of losing him shakes your entire world?
To know someone for so little time,
and, yet, be so deeply infatuated with him…
When he holds me, all I want… is to stop time,
to close my eyes and savor every inch of his embrace.
Tender, warm, wonderful… He is wonderful…
There aren’t enough hours in the day to be by his side.
Like an addict, I memorize every move, every emotion,
every kiss, every touch.
I love the way my head fits perfectly
in the curve of his shoulder and neck,
I love his smell, the sound of my name on his lips,
I love to know that I make him laugh…
And so, it’s too soon to know,
Yet, I know myself….
That this is love, that this is it,
That he’s the one.

This made my day. It’s so funny!

It seems that it was only yesterday we parted our ways from college. It’s nice to see old faces again. Leah Rosa, Irene and Ira haven’t change a bit, they still managed to maintain their long and silky black hair. Leah got her haircut some few months ago (in freshair i suppose) and me getting a summer-look. Dodong and Irene’s relationship gets stronger everytime I see them together. Leah Rosa and Ira is now a “Mom”, dragging along their “chikitings” that made us busy (mga ki-at kaayo hehehe…) during dinner. I sensed maturity as we talked our responsibilities at home and at work. It shows that we are fully aware that we’re no longer kids. But still, childish-like would emerged unto us the time we entered timezone where we spend half of our time with the kids. Bump-cars, jeepy-ride, get-that-toy (is this really the name?) and hulog-hulog piso, you name it. We really had a great time.

And I can’t wait for our next get together.

I didn’t shoot RAW during the Cebu’s world-class Sinulog Festival. It is clearly stated on the Photo Contest guidelines. I didn’t registered to win the contest, I just want to get a pass for the enjoyment during the Grand Parade. One can go beyond the rope fence and take pictures as many as you like.

A Festival Queen uttered her prayer before the Sinulog 2009 street dancing started.
Frankly, I tried to copy the subject of the 1st Prize Sinulog 2008 Photo Contest – Sidelights Category (link here) . hehehe.. peace, sir dan.

…the Festival Queen of Tribu Kabatok from Tacloban (which bagged the top prize in Tacloban’s Sangyaw Festival)
Though I didn’t pass any entries, I considered it as a lifetime and a rewarding experience.

I have been using classic ASP for quite sometime. Even now, I have used it for corporate intraweb in order to meet the diverse information needs of each employee. Classic ASP helped me in succeeding intraweb systems but it is too old for this generation and might adhere into hijacking. The following I’ve found in a book (ASP.NET Bible) on how classic ASP leads to security threats.
In classic ASP, when a client requests ASP scripts from a Web server, a session is established between the client and the server. During this session establishment, the Web server generates a Session ID cookie and send it to the client. The Session ID cookie is sent to the lcient in HTTP header. Therefore, to identify its session data in subsequent requests, the client sahres a common key (Session ID cookie) with the Web Server. This state management model works well for the clients that accept HTTP cookies. However, there are certain cookie is the only way a browser request is identified. Any other HTTP request with matching cookie is assumed to have come from the same browser. Thus, a hacker who succeeds in hijacking the cookie could use a user’s active session. Due to these security theats, some clients disable cookies and thus disable session state on the server. Thus, the ASP scripts do not work well for the clients who not accept HTTP cookies.
From this reason, I might consider transferring the system into .NET but this might take me some months to develop as I would start from scratch. I have a little knowlegde in .NET (especifically ASP.NET) but little by little I could make it succeeded one day.

Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte is my hometown and birthplace. This is where I grew-up and spend my childhood. I missed Dipolog for its fresh air and simple rural ambience. Dipolognons’ hospitality is quite superb. Moreover, the place remains peaceful despite the fact that Abusaff and MILF’s wrath in Mindanao island.
I’ve spent my two-day “All Saint’s Day” with my family. It was a memorable one.
